Week 3 RX, Reg, & Site Updates
September 9, 2026
As Week 3 of the competition cycle wraps up, the Union is seeing excellent overall compliance with Rugby Xplorer submissions. Most matches are being scored and submitted in a timely manner, supporting accurate results, standings, and competition administration across the Union.
RUGBY XPLORER SUBMISSIONS
A few recurring Rugby Xplorer issues still require attention. Player movements must be entered properly by removing the player leaving the field and identifying the player coming onto the field in the same transaction. Teams must also close and finalize matches once results have been confirmed at the field. This step is important because it locks the match record and helps prevent changes after confirmation.
Teams are also reminded to correctly indicate forfeits in Rugby Xplorer. If a match is a forfeit, please record it as such or, at minimum, notify your competition manager so the result can be handled appropriately.
REGULATIONS & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The Union also noted several regulation-related concerns during Week 3. A few teams did not properly self-report red cards, which is a serious matter. Both instances are being reviewed by the Union’s discipline committee for possible sanctions.
In addition, one club did not properly disclose its professional players. Clubs are reminded that all professional, elite, or non-resident players must be disclosed before they are permitted to participate in a match.
WEBSITE UPDATES
The Union completed several website updates this past week. Logic issues affecting standings tables in many leagues have been corrected, and current standings and tables should now reflect Rugby Xplorer. The website also now includes updated administrative contacts for the Midwest Referee Society, information about the 2026 Midwest Championships, a comprehensive Midwest Playoffs page, and an improved mobile menu opacity fix.
