FEE SCHEDULE POLICY FOR THE 2026-27 COMPETITIVE CYCLE

Appeal Deposits and Midwest Playoff Waiver Administrative Fees

PURPOSE

This policy establishes the Midwest Rugby Union fee schedule applicable to appeal proceedings and Midwest Playoff waiver requests for the 2026–27 competitive cycle. The policy is intended to support fair, consistent, and timely administration of official Midwest Rugby Union decisions, playoff eligibility matters, and related competition processes.

SCOPE

This policy applies to all clubs, players, teams, and other participants seeking review of an official Midwest Rugby Union decision or requesting a Midwest Playoff waiver during the 2026–27 competitive cycle.

APPEAL DECISION DEPOSIT

A club or player wishing to appeal an official decision made by the Midwest Rugby Union must submit a refundable appeal deposit of $100 before the appeal is heard. Appeal matters may include, but are not limited to, discipline decisions, competition sanctioning decisions, Midwest eligibility determinations, or other official Midwest Rugby Union decisions subject to appeal.

If the appeal is resolved in favor of the appealing club or player, the $100 deposit will be returned. If the appeal is denied, dismissed, or otherwise not resolved in favor of the appealing club or player, the Midwest Rugby Union will retain the deposit to offset administrative costs associated with processing and hearing the appeal.

MIDWEST PLAYOFFS WAIVER ADMINSTRATIVE FEE

A club, team, or player filing a Midwest Playoff waiver request must pay a $25 waiver administrative fee before the waiver request will be reviewed. Payment of the administrative fee does not guarantee approval of the waiver request.

WAIVER DEADLINES & EXPEDITED REVIEW

Waiver requests must be submitted no later than 10 business days before the required match. If a waiver request is submitted after that deadline, the requesting club, team, or player must pay an additional $50 expedited review fee before the late waiver request will be reviewed.

No Midwest Playoff waiver requests will be accepted less than three days before the applicable match, even if the expedited review fee has been paid or offered.

IMPLEMENTATION & ADMINSTRATION

The Midwest Rugby Union may publish payment instructions, submission procedures, and review timelines in connection with this policy. Failure to submit the required fee by the applicable deadline may result in the appeal or waiver request being delayed, rejected, or deemed incomplete.

Payments should be made to the Midwest Rugby Union Venmo account at @midwestrugby. If a club, team, or player wishes to pay by credit card, a PayPal invoice may be requested and issued for card payment processing. An additional credit card processing charge may apply to payments made by card.

This policy is effective for the 2026–27 competitive cycle and remains in effect unless amended, suspended, or replaced by the Midwest Rugby Union.
