MW Competition Committee Recommends Team Movements for 2024-25

[CHICAGO, IL] – During the Midwest’s Competition Committee Meeting that immediately proceeds the Union’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), the group discussed and agreed upon the following Club/ Team promotions and relegations for the Fall 2024 Season:

• Buffalo Women’s Rugby – relegation from Women’s Premiership (D1) to Women’s D2 competition.
• Cleveland Crusaders – relegation from Men’s Premiership (D1) to Men’s D2 competition. Second side will remain in the Men’s D3 competition.
• CRC-Chicago Silverbacks – promotion from Men’s D4 to Men’s D3 competition. No other sides in the CRC have changed competition levels.
• Detroit Rugby Club – first side promotion from Men’s D3 to Men’s D2 competition. Second side promotion from Men’s D4 to Men’s D3 competition.
• Northeast Iowa Rugby – relegation from Men’s D3 to Men’s D4 competition.
• Queen City Rugby – relegation from Men’s D2 to Men’s D3 competition.
• St. Paul Jazz Pigs – relegation from Men’s D2 to Men’s D3 competition. Second side will remain in the Men’s D4 competition.
• Toledo Women’s Rugby – promotion from Women’s Festival to Women’s D2 competition.
• Wisconsin Rugby Club – relegation from Men’s Premiership (D1) to Men’s D2 competition. Second side will remain in the Men’s D3 competition.

Clubs and teams do have a week to appeal this decision. Any changes based upon appeal will be updated here.
