Midwest Competition

This Midwest Rugby Union organizes league competition for Member Clubs starting in late August/ early September and lasting through the Midwest Championship on the second Saturday in November. Winners of the Midwest Championship will continue on the USA Club Rugby National Championship Pathway the following spring.

For the 2024-25 cycle, the MWRU will be offering competition in the following divisions:

• Men’s Division 1 (Midwest Premiership)
• Women’s Division 1 (Midwest Premiership)
• Men’s Division 2
• Women’s Division 2
• Men’s Division 3
• Women’s Division 3 (Festival)*
• Men’s Division 4^

NOTES:

*Women’s Division 3 Festival is a developmental league whereby growing and developing women’s sides muster at a given location to play XVs throughout the fall. Once a women’s side has developed the numbers to support regular league competition, they will be promoted to Women’s Division 2. 

^Men’s Division 4 does not compete in a USA Club Rugby National Championship Pathway, only for a Midwest Championship.
